Genesis 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
My six-year-old daughter has been fascinated with how God might look as of lately. She asked me what I thought and I turned the question back onto her. "God must be very tall, and definitely has a long white flowy robe. God has white hair with a matching beard and never sleeps. God is half boy and half girl because there are both boys and girls and God made us to look like God."
I often wonder how children pick up on the "Ancient of Days" description of God. I think God looks a little like each one of us. In fact, it does not matter what color skin, hair, eyes, nor how tall or short, thick or thin, I see God in each one of us because we are all God's precious and beloved children. This concept is so awesome to me that it is difficult to grasp. I am overwhelmed and humbled that somehow, I am fashioned in God's own image. As to gender, I am not sure how One Triune God embodies this, except that however SHE does, it is the definition of beauty!
